Prison Ministries
Each month eleven volunteers visit the Lowell Women’s Prison, and the Juvenile Detention Home in Ocala, for sharing God's love with those truly in need. The inmates like to sing, ask questions, look up Bible texts, pray, and learn about God's love.
Each week coordinator Dee-Dee Hirschi also serves as a volunteer chaplain at Lowell. She states, "To pray with these ladies and support them when they get bad news from home, to hug them and give them the assurance that God ‘never leaves nor forsakes us’ but is right by our side to strengthen and comfort each one, is a privilege for which I praise God.”
