Ministries

The ministries of this church are the life blood of the church.  You will want to become involved where your spiritual needs can be fulfilled and where you can share what God has done in your life.  Whether it is joining in community service or becoming part of the youth group we want you to find a  place to serve and a place to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Make sure you check out the ministry opportunities in the tabs above and see where God can use you.

Sabbath School

Sabbath school classes are the heartbeat of our church community. Each week we spend time learning from Scripture and from each other.

We offer several adult classes from which to choose.  So, come and find one that you can contribute to and receive a blessing.

We encourage you to join us each week and see how God can help you enjoy daily life more and have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Even after we accept Christ, we can get lost, or disoriented, even to the point of never returning to the Lord.

The good news is, however, that God has not left us to ourselves. He has mapped out the road to faith, as revealed in the gospel.  Our lessons reveal His love; and direction for our lives is possible!

Singles Ministry

The Singles Ministry of our church was organized in October 2010.

Our Mission Statement follows:

“To organize a Singles Ministry for those 50+ in the Ocala Seventh-day Adventist Church for spiritual and social activities.  An outgrowth of this ministry would be to develop a mission outreach to the community.”   Even though we originally stated it was organized for those over 50+, we welcome those under 50 and encourage them to participate as desired.

Family Adventures Club

Join us on one of our nature walks, even the family pet enjoys the afternoon.

You can't miss the Dave and Donna on their bicycle built for two!

On another occassion we brought our favorite sandwiches and chips for a Sabbath’s evening fellowship.  The Family Adventures fund provided the drinks and a fruit salad. The evening came to a close playing our favorite board games and challeging games of ping pong. With new tables provided by the church there is bound to be a tournament in the making.......

Directed by Dave Swinyar and assisted by Rick Couch and Sam Minosh for the purpose of providing outdoor activities. Our schedule includes mountain biking as well as regular bike rides, walks, outside Vespers programs in many of Ocala’s beautiful spots, kayaking and canoeing, camping, Rainbow River float trips, picnics and other such activities that these leaders can dream-up.

Our families and members are urged to invite their friends and families to these outings as a way to become familiar with the Ocala SDA Church.
